Officer Carl Proper

K9 Officer Carl Proper died on 9/17/21 due to Covid and worked for Kings Mountain Police since 2005, Proper had finally achieved his dream of joining a K9 unit. He was paired with K9 Bronco, a German Shepherd specifically purchased by Kings Mountain Police for Proper to handle. Proper died Friday after battling Covid for a month in the hospital.  Days after he moved into a new home in Cherryville with his wife, Proper was admitted to the hospital. Officer Carl Proper is survived by his wife Sonya and his children, Victoria Sherman, Derrik Proper, Shyanne Proper and his K-9 partner, Bronco.
