Gregory Frank Seth “Frank Seth” died on 7/18/22. Greg passed away peacefully at the age of 75 in Vero Beach, Florida with his son Shane by his side. Greg had undergone cancer treatment years ago that left him with long term health complications. Greg succumbed to those complications due to his courageous battle with cancer years before. Greg is survived by his wife, Jeannette Carlson, his five children; Jarrod L. Seth, Kimberly D. Anderson (Shane Anderson), Shane S. Seth (Jill Seth), Tiffany D. Seth, and Don Houston Kennedy. Greg was born on September 1st, 1946 in Mountain Grove, Missouri to Isaac Franklin Seth “Frank Seth” and Virginia Lorraine Smith. Greg grew up in Springfield Missouri and attended Hillcrest High School graduating in 1964. Greg played football and was on the swim team. He entered the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1969. Greg was hired by the Seattle Police Department on April 10th, 1970. Greg was one of the first canine handlers for the Seattle Police Department. Greg handled two police dogs during his tenure as a canine handler, Captain Nemo and Justice.Greg’s first K9 partner, Captain Nemo died in the line of duty. Captain Nemo was the first SPD K9 to die in the line of duty. Greg was respected among his peers and blazed the path and set a high bar for canine handlers that followed him. Greg served the citizens of Seattle for 25 years, retiring on May 10th, 1995 as a Police Detective.Greg retired and enjoyed 27 years of retirement life.
