Officer Thomas T. Wood

 and  slumped over the steering wheel of his police-issued SUV at 11:17 p.m. When he was found his SUV had the drivers side window down, vehicle in park with the engine running and his weapon and wallet were still on him. He was pronounced dead at 11:43 p.m. at the nearby Loyola University Medical Center.
