Scott Henderson was serving as a Captain with SPD as its Chief Investigator and Training Administrator. Henderson began his career in 1998 and was previously employed with the Department of Corrections and Bixby Police Department. While serving Bixby, he was president of Lodge 189 for ten years and a K9 officer for 16 total years with four different dogs. Henderson also served as Crisis Negotiator on the Southwest Area Tactical Team which covers Jenks, Bixby, Sapulpa, and Sand Springs. Henderson was a member of the International Association of Hostage Negotiators, ASIS International, Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, and Midwest Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Investigators Association. He was also an NRA Firearms, Taser, and CLEET LEDT Instructor. Henderson received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State University in criminal justice and an associate’s degrees from Tulsa Community College and Redlands Community College. Henderson had recently completed the OSBI Crime Investigators Course offered by NSU.
