David Michael Whitkofski Sr.

David Michael Whitkofski Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on 1/2/25 surrounded by his family. Dave was married to Rita for 49 years until her passing.A truck driver for 50 years, he was the first person in Ohio certified to drive triple trailers for UPS, and proudly wore his Teamsters jacket and veteran hat.Dave served as a canine military police officer for the U.S. Army, often humorously noting that he was the only private to tell a major what to do-after all, his dog’s name was Major.He admired St Therese of Lisieux and was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Dave is also survived by his children: Michelle Weber, Kathleen Leestma (Brian), Michael (Laura), David Jr. (Jessica), Joseph (Brooke) and Tommy (Kasandra).
