Deputy Michael E. Creager II, 45, died on 9/25/20 after battling cancer. Deputy Creager worked for the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office. In 2010, Creager became a road deputy and transitioned into the K-9 unit. His partner, Fygo, a Belgian Malinois, became a state-certified patrol/narcotics detection dog. Creager and Fygo trained with the Police K-9 Association, which he served as a board member. He worked as a K-9 trainer with other departments throughout the United States. Deputy Creager and K9 Fygo worked together on the sheriff’s SWAT team. He is survived by daughters Michaela and Italia Creager, He was part of the mounted unit.
