Lewis A. “Skip” Norton Jr.

Lewis A. “Skip” Norton, Jr., age 78, Inverness, FL passed away March 10, 2023 under the care of his family and the HPH Hospice Care Center in Lecanto. He was employed by the Citrus County School System as a custodian for well over 20 years. He served our country during the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Vietnam Dog Handlers Association. Skip served in Vietnam as a Military Police Dog Handler, along with his canine partner, Rommel. He is survived by his son, Brett Norton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Norton, on Christmas Day in 2022. Graveside military honors were held at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, March 24, 2023.
