Officer Byron Patrick

Retired Palm Bay Police Officer Byron Patrick, 51, passed away at his residence. on 9/8/24. Officer Patrick served in many capacities including patrol officer, patrol corporal and field training officer – and served as a member of of the department’s Honor Guard.“After serving as a Submariner in the Navy, Byron dedicated over 20 years to the Palm Bay Police Department, where he made a lasting impact as a Field Training Officer, Corporal, Honor Guard member, and K9 Handler. Byron proudly served alongside K9s Patriot, Jasper, and Behr during his K9 career. ”Officer Patrick’s most significant assignment was being a K9 handler, serving in that role for 17 years. He and his K9 partners were responsible for apprehending several wanted individuals and removing large amounts of drugs from the community. He was formally a police officer in Michigan. Officer Patrick retired from the Palm Bay Police Department in November 2021.
