Officer Edgar “Buddy” Peels

Officer Edgar “Buddy” Pales, 54, a 28-year veteran of the Owasso Police Department, died at 3:07 p.m. on 8/29/21 of complications associated with COVID-19 while in a hospital. Pales had been hospitalized for more than a week. In July of 1992 Buddy gained a reputation as being an expert in emergency communications before being sworn in as a police officer in January of 1995. He became a K9 Officer, partnering with his life-long friend K9 Britt. After Britt’s retirement, Buddy partnered with K9 Shadow. Buddy then entered the role of School Resource. He leaves behind a daughter Kasey.
