Officer Maurice “Mo” McKay

Retired MNRR and MTA Police Department Officer Maurice “Mo” McKay passed away from a tragic accident on 10/4/21 in Suffolk County New York. Maurice started with the MNRR Police in 1996 and became a MTA Police Canine Officer in June of 2002 and was one of the first K9 Officers in the unit. He was assigned to the Canine Unit for over 15 years and worked two police canines during this time. Officer Maurice McKay was a proud United States Marine Corp. Veteran.
