Retired Levy County Sheriff Officer Cpl. Jay Crooms of Williston has died. Jay was a former Patrol Deputy, K-9 Deputy and Detective. He served for over 17 years and retired. He leaves behind his wife Melinda and daughter Madison. Donations may be sent directly to the family to assist with medical costs and expenses.
